The Weatherization Assistance Program is the nation’s largest residential energy efficiency program.  It reduces energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and children, by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety.  Working for the Weatherization Assistance Program helps those in your community who can’t afford to keep up with maintaining their home.  The Weatherization Assistance Program can provide year-round employment.  The Weatherization Assistance Program offers free training to workers affiliated with one of our Community Action Agencies operating the program.  The Weatherization Assistance Program can provide you with weatherization techniques and building science principles to enhance your skills.  MITEC courses are taught by certified instructors and have enrolled 684 students since its inception.
