Description:

The BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) is a two-day advanced training program tailored for home performance professionals.  It focuses on energy modeling, building analysis, and data evaluation to develop comprehensive reports with prioritized recommendations for improving home performance.  Participants learn to create actionable work scopes, perform calculations for ventilation and energy usage, and prioritize health and safety repairs.  The course prepares students for the BA-P certification exam.

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Integrate Healthy Housing Principles into home energy audits.
  • Understand key building science concepts, including heat transfer, thermodynamic principles, moisture dynamics, and calculations for R-values and U-factors.
  • Utilize BPI Standards to effectively analyze collected data.
  • Develop prioritized residential energy efficiency solutions based on comprehensive building science evaluations.
