Intended Audience: This class is intended for both RIT/CL and EA/QCI.

Description:

This-half day course is focused on navigating our Michigan Weatherization Field Guide (MFG) and the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) Standard Work Specifications (SWS).  Students will learn about the minimum acceptable outcomes for home energy upgrades installed on single-family, multifamily, and manufactured housing.  This course clarifies what defines effective, durable, and safe whole-house energy efficiency upgrades.

 Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the anatomy of the NLR SWS and the Michigan Field Guide
  • Research the desired outcomes for specific weatherization measures
  • Navigate between the Michigan Field Guide and the NLR SWS via hyperlinks
  • Locate specific materials to be utilized to perform minimum acceptable outcomes
  • Recognize specifications and objectives and how to locate them
  • Differentiate between Single Family, Multi Family, and Manufactured Housing
